The Electric Power Industry of Serbia denies the allegations that appeared in the part of the public that Chinese companies do not pay for electricity.
Namely, the company “Zelezara Smederevo” d.o.o. is in bankruptcy, so the entire amount of the claim was reported to the bankruptcy estate and recognized by the Commercial Court. The new owner regularly settles all claims against EPS.
“Serbia Zijin Copper” d.o.o. from Bor is the owner of the former RTB Bor. The new owner took over the rights and obligations of RTB Bor and continued to operate under a new name.
The debt of the Mining and Smelting Basin Bor incurred in the period from 1 April to 31 October 2016 was rescheduled and the new owner of “Serbia Zijin Copper” d.o.o. duly settles it in accordance with the concluded reprogram and repayment plan.
We note that only this year, the amount of debt was reduced by 11.4 million euros. All this information is listed in the part that refers to the 20 largest debtors and is published publicly on the EPS website, B92 reports.
