The foreign exchange inflow from tourism in Serbia amounts to 1.15 billion euros in nine months

The Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Tatjana Matić, announced that, according to the report of the National Bank of Serbia, the foreign exchange inflow from tourism in Serbia in the first nine months of 2021 amounts to 1.15 billion euros.
“Foreign exchange inflow from tourism was up in the first nine months of this year by 52.2 percent in euros – 1.15 billion euros, compared to the period January – September 2020,” said the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.
Matic said that the encouraging data are the result of mass vaccination of our citizens, as well as adequate decisions of the Government, such as approving foreign citizens to be vaccinated in Serbia, but also favorable epidemiological situations and putting Serbia on the EU green list, which contributed to additional recognition of Serbia as a whole and diverse tourist destinations.
She added that the foreign exchange inflow from tourism in 2019, the most successful tourist year for Serbia so far, amounted to 1.43 billion euros, and that the data on the success of the tourism sector in 2021 exceeded all expectations, the statement added, N1 reports.
