The Minister for the care of the village, Milan Krkobabic, assessed that the investment plan of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, “Serbia 2020-2025” is a precondition for the survival of the villages of Serbia, it was announced today.
“The efforts of the Committee for the Village of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU) and the Ministry for the Care of the Village would have remained without realization if it were not for the true support of President Aleksandar Vucic and the investment plan ‘Serbia 2020-2025’. With this plan and the GDP growth rate of at least six percent on an annual level, significant shifts for the better in the villages of Serbia are possible,” Krkobabic said.
He stated that the plan envisages five billion euros for the construction of 5,000 kilometers of regional and local roads, three billion euros for the construction of water supply and sewerage south of the Sava and Danube, as well as 300 million euros, outside the state budget, intended for the purchase of machinery, irrigation and land consolidation.
“Our mission to preserve the villages of Serbia is based on these allocations, because for that we need a lot of money, and even more work and knowledge,” Krkobabic said, N1 reports.
