The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has increased the projection of the growth of the gross domestic product (GDP) for 2021 from six to 6.5 percent, said today the governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic.
“In the new projection of GDP growth this year, we took into account all the risks, including a possible new wave of the pandemic, but if it is milder and without significant consequences for the economy, the growth could be higher than 6.5 percent,” Tabakovic said at the presentation of the inflation report for August.
She pointed out that the projection of GDP growth in the medium term has been revised, and it is expected that it will be in the range between four and five percent, Beta reports.
