The release of Russian gas will have historical significance for Serbia

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, stated that Russia is one of the most important partners of Serbia with a trade exchange of 3.6 billion dollars.
He assessed that, apart from the issue of building a gas pipeline through Serbia and releasing gas, which will have historical significance for Serbia, the two countries are cooperating in other areas as well.
“Until the construction of the most difficult part of the Belgrade-Budapest railway, the part of Stara Pazova – Novi Sad, with one of the most beautiful bridges near Cortanovac, with a beautiful view of the Danube,” said Vucic.
He also stated that there was no drop in trade in the first four months.
During the statements for the media with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, the President stated that he believes that the two countries can do a lot more together.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the volume of trade exchange between Serbia and Russia had increased by more than 22 percent and that cooperation in the field of energy and infrastructure was particularly intensive, as well as that military cooperation was developing, B92 reports.
