Today, the Government of Serbia adopted the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Salaries of Civil Servants and State Employees, as well as several regulations aimed at supporting the economy and creating jobs.
The proposed solutions regarding the salaries of civil servants and state employees improve the position of employees whose jobs require secondary vocational education, it was announced after the government session.
This creates the conditions for the evaluation of accompanying technical support services in state bodies to be compared as much as possible to the values of comparable tasks performed by civil servants in the same level of education.
Considering that the basis for calculating the salaries of employees in state bodies grew slower than the growth of the minimum wage, the basic salaries of employees, whose jobs are classified from the fourth to the sixth salary group, remained below the minimum wage, the statement said.
These are accompanying auxiliary technical tasks, such as: judicial guards, typists, couriers, couriers, employees at the reception and expedition of the post office and other similar jobs.
Bearing in mind that one of the main goals of the government is systemic support to the sector of micro, small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs, start-ups as well as women entrepreneurs and young people, the Serbian government adopted a set of decrees in the name of support.
The programs of those decrees provided 21.1 million euros of support, it is stated in the announcement.
The Decree on establishing the Entrepreneurship Encouragement Program through development projects in 2022 was adopted, in order to encourage investments of economic entities in expanding production and strengthening competitiveness, with the aim of creating new jobs.
The funds determined by the Program are non-refundably allocated to entrepreneurs, micro, small and medium business entities and cooperatives.

The funds of the Program are determined for financial support to newly established entrepreneurs, micro and small companies that are registered in the Business Registers Agency at the earliest two years in relation to the year of submitting the request.
The members of the government adopted the Decree on the Establishment of the Entrepreneurship Development Incentive Program through Financial Support for Women Entrepreneurs and Youth in 2022.
Due to the interest of businessmen, the Program for 2022 envisages that the age limit for the possibility of applying will be moved from 30 to 35 years.
The Decree on establishing the Program of the standardized set of services for micro, small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs in 2022 was adopted, which is being implemented through accredited regional development agencies.
The Decree on establishing the Business Infrastructure Development Support Program for 2022 was also adopted.
The expected effect of supporting the development of business infrastructure in Serbia is the creation of about 1,000 new jobs, the statement said.

The goals of the Program are the systematic improvement of innovation capacities of cities and municipalities through a comprehensive approach to the digital transformation of public services, economy and society.
This should enable sustainable, more efficient use of resources, responsible attitude towards the environment and increase the quality of life of citizens in the areas of security, mobility and transport, public and communal services and digitalization in the public sector, Danas reports.
