The Government of Serbia reduced the amount of so-called basic incentives for better production per hectare from 45 euros to 35 euros, which reduced subsidies from 82.2 million euros to 63.5 million euros, reports Agroklub.
According to Agroklub, so far the basic incentive in plant production has been 35 euros, and 10 euros regress for diesel fuel (60 liters of diesel fuel per hectare is regressed with 20 cents per liter), for a maximum of 20 hectares of land, which means that farmers per hectare could earn a total of 45 euros per hectare.
190.6 million euros will be available for direct payments in 2021, instead of the previous 209 million euros.
By amending the Decree on the distribution of incentives in agriculture and rural development in 2021, about 2.5 million euros less will be paid for rural development measures than last year, a total of 11.8 million euros.
On the other hand, for the requests based on direct payments from previous years, planned for payment in the current year, instead of 20.3 million euros, the changes accepted by the Government will determine 39.8 million euros.
The procedure for exercising the right to these incentives begins with the submission of a request to the Ministry of Finance and Economy, ie the Treasury Administration every year in the period from March 1 to April 30.
Portal Agroklub states that based on the report of the Agricultural Inspection, due to irregularities with the users of incentive funds, it is expected that the Directorate for Agrarian Payments will suspend the payment of about 3.2 million euros based on the minutes of the inspector, 021 reports.
