There will be no extension of the deadline for e-fiscalization

The deadline for introducing a new fiscalization model will not be extended, said Finance Minister Sinisa Mali, who visited the Lidl supermarket in Vidikovac to make sure the new e-fiscalization system introduced by the retail chain was functioning.
He visited the store in the company of the director of the Tax Administration of the Republic of Serbia, Dragana Markovic, and the general director of Lidl Serbia, Dragan Chigoja. On that occasion, the Minister bought several products with the label “Made in Serbia”, and then he and the General Manager of Lidl pasted a sticker “I am e-fiscalized” on the door of the facility.
– We visited the Lidl supermarket in Belgrade, on Vidikovac, one of about twenty Lidl supermarkets that are already in the new fiscalization system. By the end of the month, therefore, within the deadline, all 59 Lidl supermarket stores will be e-fiscalized – said Minister Mali.
He thanked the director of Lidl for supporting the Government’s efforts in the fight against the gray economy, but also for introducing order in the payment system of the Republic of Serbia.
– At the moment, we have 138,000 fiscal taxpayers who have applied for the new fiscalization system and who have reported almost 200,000 locations throughout Serbia. I expect that by the end of the month, all those taxpayers will be connected to the new system. There are two important pieces of information I want to highlight. The first is that there will be no extension of deadlines and that the deadline remains the end of April. I say this because there have been statements by some informal groups that there will be an extension of the deadline for the introduction of a new fiscalization system. By May 1, we expect that all those who are obligated to the new fiscalization system will be in the new system. After May 1, the Tax Administration will start with field controls – said Mali, the website of the Ministry reports.
He added that a large number of calls from companies that need to be fiscalized and where teams need to come and install devices are noticeable on the ground, so crowds are slowly being created.
– That is why we appeal to everyone to do it as soon as possible, not to do everything in the last ten days of April, so that people on the field cannot connect all users and there will be delays after May 1 – said Mali.
He added that “we all have to count on taking the fiscal bill, reading the QR code and knowing that it is in accordance with the law”:
– From the gray economy, only those who do not issue fiscal invoices benefit. On the other hand, all citizens of Serbia benefit from taking fiscal bills.
He also thanked the director of Lidl that the retail chain employs 2,800 people and that they have plans for further expansion.
The director of the Tax Administration, Dragana Markovic, stated that the introduction of new fiscalization in trade chains throughout Serbia is a big step.
– At this moment, the Tax Administration received more than a million invoices on a daily basis. We expect a larger number and we are ready for that – said Marković.
She also used the opportunity and called on taxpayers to switch to the new system as soon as possible, because servicemen are expected to be very busy in the second half of April, which can be a problem. The director of the Police Administration expressed hope that in May we will receive fiscal invoices from all taxpayers with a recognizable and verifiable QR code.
General Manager of Lidl Serbia Dragan ÄŒigoja said that the company has long-term plans for doing business on the domestic market, and that they are very happy to have the opportunity to contribute to the development of Serbia by joining the new e-fiscalization system.
– I would like to thank the associates from the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Administration for their efficient support and cooperation. With the transition to the new e-fiscalization system, we used the opportunity to introduce a new Lidl environmental account that contributes to environmental protection, because there are no chemical paints, so it is recyclable and not harmful to the environment, and also resistant and long-lasting. In addition, the paper is FSC certified, which means that the materials come from sustainable resources – he said.
The transition period for the transition to the new fiscalization model began on November 1 and will last until April 30, 2022.
During the transition period, the old and the new model operate in parallel.
The application for subsidies provided by the state for the transition to the new model of fiscalization has been completed, but the application for the location of business premises via the ePorezi portal is still ongoing, eKapija reports.
