Total insurance premium in Serbia has increased by 8.2%

The total insurance premium in Serbia in the second quarter of this year was 511.8 million euros which is an increase of 8.2% compared to the same period last year, according to the report for the insurance sector of the National Bank of Serbia.
Non-life insurance accounted for 78.3% of total premiums and recorded an increase of 8.1%, while the share of life insurance increased slightly due to slightly higher premium growth.
The balance sheet total of the insurance sector in Serbia increased by 7.6% and amounts to 2.8 billion euros, while the capital in the second quarter amounted to 583 million euros, which is an increase of 5.4%, BiF reports.
