VE Rakova Bara submits environmental assessment request for 150 MW wind farm project

VE Rakova Bara, a company from Žagubica, has submitted a request to the Ministry of Environmental Protection for an environmental impact assessment for the Rakova Bara wind farm project in the Kučevo municipality. The study is being prepared by ECOlogica URBO d.o.o.

The planned wind farm will cover 142,361.2 m² and include 19 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of up to 150 MW. The generated electricity will be fed into the 400 kV transmission network via the VE Rakova Bara substation and connected to the existing RP Drmno – HE Đerdap 1 power line.

Since 2022, the investor has been conducting wind potential measurements at the Vrteč site, confirming technical feasibility for wind energy use. The Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure has already issued location permits for the project.
