In 2024, Vojvodina saw a notable rise in tourism, with 549,669 visitors recorded by November, marking a 2.7 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023, according to the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina, based on data from the Republic Institute of Statistics.
The influx of tourists included a 2.2 percent increase in domestic arrivals and a 3.2 percent growth in foreign tourists.
Between January and September 2024, the region experienced 1.52 million overnight stays, a 2.5 percent increase over the previous year. Domestic tourists accounted for 720,124 overnight stays, while foreign visitors contributed 803,322 stays.
Among the most popular destinations in the region were Novi Sad, which attracted 177,181 visitors and recorded 435,315 overnight stays, and Subotica, with 109,030 arrivals and 247,301 overnight stays. Spa Vrdnik emerged as the top wellness destination, with 79,220 arrivals, marking an 18 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.
FruÅ¡ka Gora, Serbia’s first national park, also experienced a surge in visitors, with arrivals up by 20.6 percent and overnight stays increasing by 11.7 percent from January to September 2024, compared to the previous year.
