The public presentation of the urban planning project for the “Saša 1” solar power plant, planned for construction in the village of Moštanica near Vranje, began yesterday and will continue until July 22. The project envisions the plant covering just over 4 hectares, with 102 photovoltaic panels to be installed.
The city of Vranje is also hosting a public presentation for another solar power plant project planned in Moštanica. In total, six solar power plant projects were made public in 2024 alone.
The investor, Saša Stevanović from Vranje, plans to build the plant on two privately owned parcels of agricultural land. According to the urban planning project, the plant will have a capacity of 50 kW and cover an area of 4,189 square meters.
Interested parties can view the urban planning project until July 22 either in person at the Department for Urban Planning, Property-Legal Affairs, and Communal-Housing Activities of the Vranje City Administration or on the city’s official website.
Additionally, the construction of the “Gornje Livade” solar power plant has been announced, to be built in the village of Soderce by the Belgrade-based company Sunflow South. Other planned plants include “Mineco” near the villages of Vlase and Gradnja, “Lovopromet” near Golemy Sel, and “Kobra” near Donje Žapsko.
Vranje city has leased four plots totaling just over 20 hectares in Soderce to the Belgrade company Solarbelt, which plans to build two solar power plants with a combined capacity of 9 megawatts. There is also a small solar plant called “Alex” planned between Crni Lug and Donje Žapsko.
