Serbia will continue to develop its strategic alliance with China in all areas, and the relations with the country will be taken to the next level, PM Aleksandar Vucic said Wednesday.
At a presentation of a project aimed at modernising Serbia’s telecommunications – to be implemented by Telekom Srbija and Huawei – Vucic said China was not only a sincere friend of Serbia, but a strategic partner.
“After the Smederevo steel mill, this is a new start of cooperation,” he said, adding that Chinese companies interested in the Serbian livestock industry and the chemical and the mining sectors would come to Serbia next week.
The 150 mln euro investment by Telekom Srbija and Huawei is very significant for Serbian citizens as it will drastically improve landline telephony, Vucic said, adding that Telekom Srbija would be competitive both at home and in the region.
