Who will get the licenses for the 5G network will be a key question for the new Ministry of Telecommunications, Orion Telekom director Slobodan Djinović told Bloomberg Adria TV.

“The first thing on the agenda will certainly be 5G licenses, that is, 5G frequencies and the way we will distribute them”, he said, answering the question of what will be the first thing on the agenda of the newly formed ministry.

Đinović added that he assumed that telecommunications, due to its contribution to the gross domestic product of Serbia, deserved a separate ministry, but he noted that the sector had good cooperation with the previous Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.
