Nuclear energy is increasingly recognized as a clean and secure power source, becoming a priority investment for many countries. This was highlighted at the first World Nuclear Week in Moscow, which brings together government officials, scientists, and students from over 100 countries. The event showcases innovative nuclear technologies, including applications integrated with artificial intelligence, and coincides with the 80th anniversary of Russia’s nuclear program.
The forum includes workshops, panels, and discussions, with participation from 15 global leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, and the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi. Over 50 international agreements are expected to be signed during the event.
More than 18,000 nuclear science students attend, and exhibitions highlight technological achievements from countries worldwide, including Serbia. Serbian representatives, including scientists from the Vinča Institute, are exploring potential peaceful nuclear energy programs, with Rosatom as a potential partner.
