The director of the Zlatibor Tourist Organization, Vladimir Živanović, announced that this year they expect to surpass 1,300,000 overnight stays at the popular tourist destination, marking a growth compared to last year’s 1,200,000 registered stays. He also highlighted a significant increase in foreign tourists from January to June 2025.
Živanović shared details with journalists during a three-day study visit to Zlatibor, emphasizing that the summer tourist offer has been expanded. New cycling and hiking trails have been developed, positioning Zlatibor as an ideal spot for an active vacation.
“To enhance the summer season experience, we have organized numerous events both in the town center and nearby villages. Among them is a special children’s concert at the Stopića Cave, complemented by our renowned gastronomic offerings,” he said.
Additionally, Jelica Tošić from the Tourist Organization pointed out that Zlatibor remains largely untouched by urban development, with less than two percent of the area urbanized, preserving its natural charm.
