The register of contracts on funding agricultural production started operation on Monday, whereby the law on funding and securing funding for agricultural production also took effect.
The law on funding and securing funding for agricultural production was adopted six months ago.
In fact, the start of the register’s operation means that contracts on funding agricultural production will from now on be entered in the newly-established register, while pledges against future crop yields – a new form of contract security – will be entered in the register of pledges, maintained by the Business Registers Agency since 2005.
On the occasion, Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Snezana Bogosavljevic Boskovic visited the Agency on Monday.
“All this is not sufficient and, in the coming months, with assistance from experts and our expert services, we will be working on promoting pre-harvest funding and explaining all the procedures,” Bogosavljevic Boskovic said.
