Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic met on Monday in Belgrade with Bulgarian Economy Minister Bozidar Lukarski and discussed the promotion of bilateral economic relations and the potential to increase the volume of trade.

Ljajic and Lukarski agreed that it is necessary to sign the intergovernmental agreements on cooperation in tourism and joint projects in third markets, in order to raise the bilateral economic relations to a higher level, the deputy prime minister’s office said in a release.

Speaking about the tourism potential, Ljajic pointed out that over the first four months of 2015 the majority of foreign tourists in Serbia were Bulgarians. The number of visitors from Bulgaria was 72 percent higher than in the same period last year, he specified.
