Vojvodina, Lombardy agree on new forms of cooperation

Vojvodina Prime Minister Bojan Pajtic and Lombardy President Roberto Maroni agreed on new forms of cooperation between the Serbian province and the Italian region in Milan on Tuesday.

“We reached agreement on cooperation in the fields of small and medium-sized enterprises, industry development and technology exchange,“ Pajtic said after the meeting.

He added that cooperation in education and healthcare is also to be established, as well as the cooperation between universities, noting that institutes in Sremska Kamenica already work together with prestigious healthcare institutions in Lombardy.

Maroni said that the region of Lombardy prepared the first draft of an agreement on cooperation with Vojvodina, adding that he expects the agreement to be signed soon.

Pajtic opened the Days of Vojvodina event at the World Expo 2015 in Milan on Monday.
