Two large French companies, “Bouygues” and “Vinci”, are interested in the concession of the Nikola Tesla Airport, while some other ones are also very keen on building the Belgrade metro system, said Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali on Wednesday.

He conversed with Ambassador of France to Serbia Christine Moro and the representatives of the French Embassy’s department of economy, said the City Administration in a release.

Mali told his interlocutors that a smart-plan will be drafted by early 2016 which will define the actual needs of the city as well as the appearance of the first three future lines of the metro.

Moro invited Mali to visit Lyon following the drafting of the smart-plan because it resembles Belgrade in its size and field configuration.

The mayor briefed the Embassy representatives on some other large projects of the public-private partnership that Belgrade plans to realize in the upcoming period.

Mali and Moro discussed the establishment of free zones in Belgrade and Mali took the opportunity to announce the opening of several other industrial zones and a new law on investments which will allow Belgrade to provide the investors with certain subsidies alongside the central government.
