Nestlé has rejected local press reports of plans to sell its ice cream factory in Serbia.

Nestlé Adriatic, the regional unit of the Swiss food company, said it plans to increase its market position in the ice cream segment in the region and also add new products.

Zagreb-based Nestlé Adriatic manages the Nestlé Ice Cream factory in Stara Pazova, which boasts an annual production capacity of 23-25 tonnes. The factory employs over 200 people during the season, and as well as Serbia, it produces ice cream that is exported to Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
