Serbia is becoming highly positioned on the tourist map of Europe, as evidenced by the increasing number of visitors year after year.

– The best tourist season is behind us. According to the still unofficial results, over 3.6 million tourists have passed through our country and we will achieve our final goal of 10 million nights – said Minister of Tourism, Trade and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic.

He points out that foreigners are increasingly recognizing Serbia as one of their favorite destinations, and this is reflected in the budget.

– Foreign exchange revenue of 1.4 billion euros will be generated this year and we will continue to increase tourism traffic. All this is thanks to our natural resources, but also to the large investments of both domestic and foreign investors. I hope even more success – said Ljajic, adding that the state will help those who decide to invest in spa tourism.

– Everyone who intends to build hotels and spas, the state will subsidize 20 percent of the total investment. If you invest 10 million dollars, you will receive two million grants. The requirement that you meet is to employ at least 70 workers and that the investment should not be less than two million – Ljajic emphasized for Srbija Danas.
