Finance Minister Sinisa Mali announced on Saturday that he will publish the Serbia 2025 plan, a 12 billion euros investment cycle.

“We have completed the financial consolidation of our public finances, we are now completely stable, we have stable growth rates, I want them to be even greater, so the problem of financing all those investments does not exist,” said Mali, responding to a reporter’s question at the launch of the new Dina Credit card in Belgrade.

The ambassador of the Duna credit card is athlete Ivana Spanovic, and in addition to the minister and her, today’s promotion was attended by National Bank of Serbia Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic and President of the Executive Board of the Commercial Bank Vladimir Medan.

“I wish the citizens of Serbia to have as much money on that card as possible, that is my wish for 2020 and the years to come. We as a government will do our best to increase our standard year by year, to have an even better and more beautiful Serbia, salaries and pensions are rising and that these Dina cards are, after all, more used”, Minister Mali pointed out.

Mali said that 2019 was a turning point in the economic development of our country, adding that difficult measures are behind us and that thanks to them today there is a never lower unemployment rate, never a higher growth rate and never more infrastructure investment.

He pointed out that the project “Serbia 2025”, an investment program of over 12 billion euros, will be presented on Saturday, December 28, which will further contribute to the growth of our economy.

“We are going to build highways, grow our economy, which will lead to higher budget revenues. This means higher salaries and higher pensions for citizens”, said Mali.

He also said that the entire banking system should support the expected growth, and that it is therefore important to develop both Commercial and other banks, to expand the range of services, as he assessed, and to make more use of the domestic products, like Duna credit card.

The Minister of Finance congratulated Governor Tabakovic on all the results achieved by the National Bank of Serbia and reminded that the exchange rate has been stable in recent years, as well as inflation.

He reiterated that difficult measures now open the possibility for progress.

“Our wish is to raise and build the standard even faster in the coming period”, he said, wishing the Serbian citizens all the best in 2020.

Tabakovic said that citizens can pay with their Duna credit card on the e-government portal, on the Internet, in the country and abroad, and it is also possible to pay in installments without interest at small retailers and in large retail chains.

“Soon, when we join the Union Pay system, citizens will be able to use the card in 168 countries around the world through Commercial Bank or Postbank Savings Bank, as well as all other banks that are part of that system”, Tabakovic said.

Talking about the new product, Chairman of the Executive Board of Commercial Bank Vladimir Medun says that the card will be a competitor to consumer loans with a repayment period of 24 months and the most favorable interest rate currently.

“It will be a competitor to those loans with the price we offered and we will have it for a period of 24 months. Practically this one we had for 12 months will be extended for another year, so that our bank’s clients will be able to reach the funds more easily and faster through that credit card”, said Medun.

We xpect that in the first six months of next year, together with the NBS, we will join the Union Pay system, Medun said, adding that this would enable the Dina card to become universally accepted in 168 countries. Commercial Bank has promoted a new Dina credit card with the most favorable interest rate currently.

This card is for clients who receive earnings through a current account with Commercial Bank. It is used to pay for goods and services in all places with a prominent dinacard sign, as well as to withdraw cash at ATMs and bank counters in the country and abroad, at points of sale marked as Discover Network or Diners Club international logo. With a new credit card it is possible to pay goods and services in interest-free installments at merchants with whom Commercial Bank has contracted business cooperation, and it can also be used for payments on the Internet, at points of sale that accept the dinacard brand.
