Farmers in Serbia subsidized to buy domestic tractors

Farmers will be able to apply for subsidies for the acquisition of a new tractor this year, as stipulated in the rulebook on incentives for investments in physical assets of agricultural holdings.

The maximum total amount of incentive that a user can receive for one calendar year is 7,000 euros. The tractor must be intended for agricultural work in primary crop and livestock production.

The tractor engine power must be up to a maximum of 60 kW (kW) and the tractor must be manufactured in Serbia or imported by the supplier in disassembled condition and assembled on its production lines in Serbia.

Incentives are not offset by taxes, including value added tax; customs, import and other administrative fees, costs of banking fees, insurance and registration of tractors, procurement of attachments for works, etc.

The right to incentives is exercised by a person registered in the Register of Agricultural Holdings, Nova Ekonomija reports.
