China’s National Tourism Organization ranked Serbia in the top 10 holiday destinations during the winter, the Tourism Organization of Serbia (TOS) said.
“This is how we found ourselves side by side with Canada, Switzerland, Finland, Alaska, Austria, Norway, Italy…”, the TOS statement said.
Due to the current situation, caused by the virus corona, the awards ceremony was held online and more than 20,000 people participated online.
“Based on its appearance and influence on the Chinese market, as well as its rich tourist offer, Serbia has proven that it has a good promotion plan and that tourists from China recognize it”, they say in TOS.
In January this year, tourists from China were up 145 percent over the same period last year.
“This recognition is for TOS, another confirmation that once the crisis caused by the coronary virus is over, we will again be able to count on the great interest of tourists from China”, the TOS statement said, RTV reports.
