Cooperation to new jobs for Serbian and Croatian businessmen

The Chambers of Commerce of Serbia and Croatia will strengthen cooperation in order to enable new business projects, easier business and faster overcoming of the consequences of the pandemic – their presidents Marko Cadez and Luka Burilovic agreed today at the meeting in Zagreb.
They agreed to hold a Business Forum of Serbian and Croatian businessmen in October in Belgrade, and discussed other activities to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce announced.
The chambers propose to the governments that during the Business Forum, a Joint Committee for the implementation and encouragement of economic cooperation between Serbia and Croatia be convened, with the priority goal of speeding up and facilitating the crossing of the border for businessmen.
The main topics of the Business Forum of Businessmen will be construction, energy and tourism, the sectors most severely affected by the consequences of the pandemic, and the presentation of wine from Serbia and Croatia is also planned.
The goal of the forum is to strengthen economic cooperation, identify and define priority sectors for improving cooperation, trade, investment and joint performance in third markets, said PKS.
Serbian and Croatian businessmen will have the opportunity to present the ethno-gastronomic specialties of their countries at a joint presentation during the regular pre-Christmas “Advent Market” in Zagreb.
According to the SCC, the trade exchange between Serbia and Croatia is on the rise. In the previous five years, the level of exchange increased by more than half, and last year it amounted to one billion and 86 million euros, Danas reports.
