Flag carrier Air Serbia plans to nearly triple the weekly frequency of its flights linking Belgrade to Zurich in September, as the Swiss government removed Serbia from its coronavirus-related travel restrictions list, it said on Friday.
The company will operate the service 14 times a week in September, up from five in August, offering the highest number of frequencies on the line, Air Serbia said in a statement.
Since the gradual recommencement of flights on May 21, Air Serbia has serviced 216 flights and carried 14,000 passengers on the Belgrade-Zurich line, the company noted.
Earlier this week, the Swiss Federal Office for Public Health said it removed Serbia from the list of countries with the most strict coronavirus-related travel restrictions. A mandatory 14-day quarantine is no longer in force for people coming to Switzerland from Serbia as of August 20, SeeNews reports.
