Why do ladies in Serbia start a business?

Supported byspot_img

For most ladies, 5,000 euros were enough to start a business in Serbia, and a significant difference is noticeable among entrepreneurs from Belgrade, and those from the interior of Serbia, when it comes to the main motives for starting their own business.
Namely, while the main motive for Belgrade women was freedom in work, ie the desire to be “their own boss”, so-called “emergency” entrepreneurship dominates among women entrepreneurs all over Serbia, where women started their business because they could not find another job.
The research conducted as part of She’s Next, empowered by the Visa initiative, in cooperation with Visa and Ispos Strategic Marketing, showed that the situation is improving from year to year when it comes to women’s entrepreneurship, but also that one of the main challenges for ladies still represents the initial capital, Blic Business reports.
