The inflow of foreign direct investments from the beginning of the year to the present day is 1.8 billion euros, said today the governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), Jorgovanka Tabakovic.
She said that this is an operational data that can vary, but that, having in mind the crisis caused by the coronary virus pandemic, it is an excellent result.
Tabakovic stated that recently the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, stated that in the first seven months of this year, the inflow of foreign direct investments was 1.6 billion euros, but that this is new data for eight months.
“That is what provides production, salaries, taxes and a better standard of living for citizens,” said Tabakovic.
She points out that Serbia will not borrow from the IMF and other international financial institutions because it has stable finances, a stable dinar and exchange rate, Dnevnik reports.
