Despite the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, NIS remained a stable company that did not lay off employees and regularly paid basic salaries in full, relying on its own resources, said Natalija Bilenok, NIS Deputy General Director for Organizational Affairs.
“The pandemic demanded that we should be very flexible – we enabled work from home for about 3,000 employees in the administration. Although this is a measure that required a lot of logistics and material allocations, we completely succeeded in that, and the work processes did not suffer,” said Natalija Bilenok in an interview for Business Magazine.
According to her, NIS provided additional security and stability to its employees during the crisis.
“We know that our business must not stop, because it is important for Serbia and the entire region. That is why our flexibility was important and we ensured that: in just one week from the declaration of the state of emergency, we enabled work from home for 3,000 of our employees. We provided computers, laptops, strengthened internet connections and everyone could work safely. Our human resources service provided all permits with incredible speed, so that our employees at the gas stations could get permits to move during curfew as well. Everything worked like clockwork, people worked as a team, helped each other,” said the deputy general director of NIS.
Commenting on the results of the research “TalentX” of the specialized portal Infostud, according to which NIS is the most desirable employer in Serbia, Natalija Bilenok said that it was a great recognition, but also an obligation to continue with improvements in that area.
“By the way, we do our internal research, but this is external and that is why it is extremely important to us. More than 10,000 participants participated; respondents answered that they value financially stable business, a friendly and pleasant working environment, as well as a clear and fair reward system. Having that in mind, it is clear why NIS, as a company that remained stable even in the conditions of the coronavirus pandemic and the great crisis on the oil market, managed to be ranked first in this research,” she said.
According to her, the great advantage of NIS is that it carefully analyzes the needs of employees, who see the company as a partner in these challenging times.
“In addition, we follow all modern trends and keep up with the times and new generations. I am convinced that all this makes us an attractive employer, which offers its employees work on challenging projects. In addition, the NIS collective agreement is one of the best in the region. All that together makes our formula for success, ” said Natalija Bilenok, Politika reports.
