The Party of Freedom and Justice (SAA) announced that due to the constant negative business, “Air Serbia” has accumulated a new debt of 400 million euros in seven years, which will be fully financed only by the Serbian side.
“That is why ‘Etihad’ is rightly celebrating the anniversary of this lucrative arrangement today, while Vučić’s ‘job of the century’ will cost Serbia one billion euros, after we cover the loss in 2020,” the SAA announced.
The party stated that “Etihad” entered into business with the state of Serbia without any risk, only with a loan of 36 million euros, and earned at least 100 million euros in the past seven years.
“At the same time, the joint company cost Serbia 500 million euros – we invested assets worth at least 75 million euros, took over debts worth 200 million euros and provided direct subsidies of 225 million euros,” the statement said.
It is concluded that it is indisputable that Serbia needs a national airline, but it must not work for foreign partners, but exclusively in the interest of the citizens of Serbia, who also finance it, Danas reports.
