Total loans in Serbia increased by 2% in a month

The total credit burden on the economy, entrepreneurs and citizens in Serbia at the end of September amounted to about 24 billion euros, which is an increase of 2 percent compared to the previous month, the Association of Serbian Banks announced.
Loans to the economy reached 13 billion euros, which is a jump of 2.2 percent compared to August, and entrepreneurs currently owe 512.5 million euros, or 2.7 percent more than during the previous month.
The debt of the population to the banks increased by 1.8 percent, to about 9.83 billion euros.
In the structure of total debt, cash loans jumped 2 percent, consumer loans 3.5 percent, refinancing loans 2.6 percent, housing 1.2 percent, and agricultural 1.8 percent.
The delay in repayment (late) at the end of last month was 3.6 percent of total loans, which is a decrease of 0.1 percentage points compared to August, Kamatica reports.
