In Serbia, 43.1 percent fewer tourists in September than in the same month in 2019

In September this year, 43.1 percent fewer tourists stayed in Serbia than in the same month in 2019, the Republic Statistical Office (SORS) announced today.
There was also a drop in overnight stays of 22.9 percent compared to the same month last year.
The number of overnight stays of domestic tourists increased by 18.8 percent, and the number of foreign tourists decreased by 79.3 percent.
In September 2020, a total of 195,633 tourists stayed in Serbia, of which 162,186 were domestic and 33,447 foreign tourists, according to the SSO.
There were 698,108 overnight stays – 603,912 domestic and 94,196 foreign tourists.
From the beginning of 2020 until September, there were 1,464,664 tourists in Serbia, of which 1,110,656 were domestic and 354,008 foreign.
Tourists mostly stayed in Belgrade, Vrnjacka Banja, Sokobanja, Kopaonik and Zlatibor, Danas reports.
