Four Serbian companies are included in Deloitte’s list of the top 25 leading retail chains in the region – Delta Maxi Group is third on the list, DIS is 16th, Univerexport is 18th and Delta Sport 20th, Betanews reported. Delta Maxi was the largest retail chain in Serbia in 2010 with almost EUR997 million in total sales revenue, Deloitte confirmed in its analysis of the retail sector. Delta Maxi, with EUR1.1 billion in sales revenue across all the markets in which it operates in the Adria region, is also one of the three leading retail chains in the that region, which encompasses Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia and Montenegro. The total sales revenue of the Croatian company Agrokor in 2010 came to EUR2.86 billion and the Slovenian Mercator Group had EUR2.8 billion in sales revenue in the Adria region.
