While most investors in Croatian tourism withdrew a bit due to the Covid-19 pandemic and business uncertainty, a new luxury tourist resort with a hotel worth about 80 million euros is springing up in Savudrija, not far from the famous Kempinski Hotel and the nearby golf course.
It is the largest investment in Croatian tourism, one of the few greenfield investments, the Croatian portal novac.hr reported.
It is a new resort “Petram”, whose construction began in mid-October.
The company “Cista voda projekt” from Savudrija is formally investing in the project, and the co-investor is Vojislav Gajic, who is the head of the company that deals with construction and sale of real estate in Novi Sad called “Aleksandar Gradnja”.
His company is known for more than 25 years of business on the Serbian market for the construction of residential and business premises, and the latest in a series of projects such as residential and business complexes Kapija Vracara in Belgrade, Taurunum in Zemun, Aleksandar Bulevar Center in Novi Sad, and K district and The One in Belgrade.
Vojislav Gajic says that this resort will be ready for the 2022 season.
“It is an investment of about 80 million euros, and we managed to solve all the documentation with construction permits in just 10 months, and without any problems,” said Gajic.
According to this project, an apart-hotel with 179 accommodation units, 55 luxury villas and three residential buildings with 18 apartments, all high categories with four and five stars, will be built on the entire land.
The resort will have just under a thousand beds.
On the roof of the apart-hotel is the longest infinity pool on the roof of any building in Europe, or the second longest in the world, just behind the infinity pool at the top of the Marina Bay Hotel in Singapore, Dnevnik reports.
