The President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Marko Cadez, assessed that there is no company in Serbia or in the world that does not suffer the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.
He says that the economic crisis is associated with the health crisis, but he believes that the Serbian economy has withstood the blows of the pandemic relatively well.
“At the same time, there is a fight for the health and lives of people and for companies and jobs, and that makes the crisis more difficult than any previous one,” said Cadez.
He announced that the Serbian economy could end this year with only one percent lower gross national product than last year.
“Of course, the Serbian economy is not an isolated island and its recovery in the next year will depend, except on the epidemiological situation and the speed with which European economies will recover, especially in countries that are Serbia’s largest foreign trade partners,” Marko Cades said in an interview, B92 reports.
