On the basis of the JV agreement with the local company Evropa-Inex from Novi Banovci, South Korea’s Mecen IPC will soon start operating in Serbia. It will invest roughly €4 million in the production of low-density polyethylene based insulation materials to be used in construction, automotive, air conditioning industry and other fields.
Production will be carried out in accordance with one of the world’s most advanced technologies, at the newly built hall in the industrial zone in Nova Pazova. A total of 35 people will get a job during the first business year, whereas another 60 will be employed within the next two years, said people at Evropa-Inex, pointing out that SIEPA granted incentives amounting to €4,000 per new job for that project. Installation of production equipment, training for workers and trial production are planned to start in February, while regular production should commence in March 2012.
