Next year is crucial, Serbia must make serious economic progress

The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, is visiting today with the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Tomislav Momirovic, and the Acting the director of the Corridor of Serbia, Aleksandar Antic, works on the Moravian Corridor, the construction of which began exactly a year ago.
The first digital highway in Serbia, which consists of three sections Pojate-Krusevac, Krusevac-Adrani, Adrani-Preljina, will pass through the heart of Serbia in the length of 112 kilometers, through the valleys of the West, South and Velika Morava.
– As you heard from President Vucic, it is already certain today that Serbia will have the best economic result in Europe in 2020. But we have to work every day, to make that result even better and the decline even smaller. 2021 is crucial for this project, and we need to see serious progress to get the first sections ready by 2022. Next year, we have to start some serious projects, such as the Frushkogorski corridor, the section New Belgrade-Surcin, the railway section Novi Sad-Kelebija, we have to start the construction of KC Vojvodina, Tirsova 2, as many as 17 wastewater treatment plants – she said Prime Minister.
Currently, works are taking place at several locations, and today, officials are visiting the works in the area of Cicevac, on the bridge over the Jovanicka river and the Belgrade-Nic railway. It is planned that the bridge will be 496 meters long. On the territory of Krusevac, a camp is currently being built on 23.5 hectares with accommodation capacity for 1,400 workers.
The highway that will connect Rasina, Raska and Moravica districts, where about half a million people live and about 20,000 companies operate, is being built by the American-Turkish consortium “Bechtel-Enka”. At the end of 2023, in addition to connecting Cacak, Kraljevo, Vrnjacka Banja, Trstenik, Krusevac and Cicevac, Krusevac, a direct link is being built with corridors 10 and 11, Novosti reports.
