The Government of Serbia has determined funds for large investments in Krusevac

The Government of Serbia has determined the funds for the realization of several projects in Krusevac for the next year, primarily for the Rosulje airport and the new landfill, said the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Tomislav Momirovic.
After talks with the mayor of Krusevac, Jasmina Palurovic, Momirovic specified that a runway 830 meters long and a fence around the airport would be financed with approximately 2.5 million euros, the website of the Government of Serbia was reported by Tanjug.
With these investments, we will position the airport in the future so that we can develop it to the international level, he explained and added that the runway will not be able to accommodate large planes, but will enable further development of this airport – said the Minister.
He also reminded that 24 million euros had been previously invested in a wastewater treatment plant and 60 kilometers of sewage collectors had been built, estimating that Krusevac was the leader in the region in terms of the technology of this plant.
Palurovic pointed out that the mentioned plant is already in trial operation and that it has immeasurable significance for the city and environmental protection.
According to her, this plant collects all wastewater from the territory of the entire city and suburban settlements, with the possibility of connecting the surrounding villages in the future.
The interlocutors, as the next big project that will be worked on, announced the construction of a new landfill for receiving and processing solid waste at the location of Srnja, eKapija reports.
