Lafarge invests EUR 2 million in development of Beocin

The Beocin-based cement factory Lafarge will invest EUR 2 million in the development of that local community within the next five years, the company announced Thursday.

That money will be invested in the improvement of citizens’ living conditions, maintenance of the achieved level of both sports and cultural life, and creation of a favorable climate for attracting investors to the municipality of Beocin, it was said on the occasion of the signing of an agreement on cooperation between representatives of that company and the municipality of Beocin.

Lafarge promised to invest EUR 200,000 per year in infrastructure for Beocin-Business Park and Beocin-based industrial zones within the next five years.

After signing the agreement, Beocin Mayor Bogdan Cvejic pointed to its importance for providing an opportunity for the implementation of planned activities in the local community.

– What is especially important is that we will continue to work together on creating new jobs by equipping Beocin-Business Park and other industrial zones – Cvejic stressed.
