The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, stated that there is money in the republic budget for a new package of assistance to the economy and citizens for mitigating the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.
“I cannot talk about the new aid package, we are working on it, with the support of the President of Serbia. The economy will receive help, but also pensioners and other citizens,” Brnabic said for TV Prva.
She pointed out that all state institutions, primarily the ministries of finance and economy, must work day and night so that the state “has something to help the economy and citizens.”
“Therefore, it is important that everyone pays taxes, that we do not collapse the system, that we are again European champions in terms of economic growth,” said Brnabic.
Now, as she added, vaccination is the most important topic.
“Mass vaccination is important to get back to work. You have to have income in order to be able to help the economy or pay all the expenses,” said the Prime Minister.
She added that the fight against coronavirus is “extremely expensive”, N1 reports.
