Another Russian retail chain is arriving in Serbia

After the MERE chain, the sister company Svetofor is coming to Serbia, which, according to the Retail Srbija portal, will open its first stores in Subotica and Krusevac.
The Russian trade group Torgservis soon plans to bring its second retail chain to Serbia, which will operate under the Svetofor brand. The first markets will be opened in Subotica and Krusevac on February 26.
The sister company MERE started its expansion on the Serbian market at the end of last year by opening the first discount market in Batajnica. The first facility of that Russian group spreads over a thousand square meters and offers an assortment of food, household items, clothes, shoes, children’s program…
The second MERE market will be opened on February 26 in Vrsac, followed by the opening in Kraljevo.
The Russian company plans to expand in the coming years in Austria, Italy, the USA, Greece and other countries, the portal writes. Torgservis already operates in Germany, Romania, Poland, and in Russia it is currently the largest chain of discount stores, BiF reports.
