The Egyptian company “Cairo three A group” is interested in building a regional center for the purchase of cereals and fruits in Serbia, and later a fruit processing factory.
“Today we talked about concrete possibilities of cooperation, and for us it is very important that they are the biggest importers of corn, while we are one of the countries that has the largest quantities of that grain for export. They also expressed interest in building a regional center in Serbia with a refrigerator for buying fruit from Serbia and surrounding countries for export to Egypt. In the next phase, a factory for fruit processing and making concentrates would be built there, which would be used for various products, juices and other things,” announced the State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture Senad Mahmutovic after talks with the President of the Egyptian company Ayman El Gamil.
He emphasized that it is estimated that this year Serbia will have, in addition to 4.2 million tons of corn for its own needs, over 3.8 million tons for export, and the annual import of “Cairo three A groups” for the needs of Egypt is 3.5 million tons of these cereals, hence almost all of our quantity for export.
“They cooperate with Nestle, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola and many other world companies,” said the Secretary of State, noting that “Cairo Three A Group” is the largest food producer in Egypt, the largest importer of cereals and a producer of fruits and vegetables, Bonitet reports.
