Acibadem Health Group (Acibadem), a world-famous chain of hospitals, will soon be the majority owner of Bel Medic, the leading private healthcare institution in Serbia. In three months, when this transaction is officially completed, the Turkish chain of hospitals will have a 70% share in the ownership of Bel Medic.
Acibadem merged this healthcare facility through its Dutch subsidiary, which, among other things, serves to invest in Eastern Europe.
As it was announced from Bel Medic, this health institution with a 26-year tradition will in the future operate under the name Acibadem Bel Medic, and the co-owner and general director, as before, will be Jasmina Knezevic.
Acibadem Healthcare Group has been operating in Turkey since 1991. The system operates globally in 4 more European countries (in Northern Macedonia, Bulgaria, the Netherlands and now in Serbia), with 21 hospitals, 13 outpatient centers, more than 4,200 beds, with over 22,500 employees and 4,000 doctors. Acibadem Health Group belongs to the world’s second largest chain of hospitals IHH, BiF reports.
