Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali held a meeting in video format with the Vice President of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia, Ana Bjerda.
– We talked about “green goals” and various projects that we are launching, which will contribute to better environmental protection. These are primarily wastewater treatment plants that will be built in local governments throughout Serbia. We also talked about issuing green bonds, which can be a good signal for investors. The Vice President of the World Bank praised Serbia, which, as she pointed out, is fighting better against the corona virus pandemic than the countries in the region, but also in the world, which is the merit of a well-designed package of economic support. We are proud to receive praise from international financial institutions – Mali announced on Instagram, Novosti reports.
