The EU has invested 1.8 billion euros in projects in Serbia

In the period from 2010 to 2020, the European Union invested 1.8 billion euros in projects in Serbia, followed by Germany with 189 million euros, the United States with 161 and the United Nations with 141 million euros, it was announced at the workshop “Management project cycleā€¯.
The workshop was conducted within the program Inclusion of Roma and other marginalized groups in Serbia, which is conducted by GIZ within the German development cooperation, it is added in the announcement.
One of the main sources of financing projects that are in the interest of improving the quality of life of Serbian citizens are international donations, and according to annual research conducted by the Serbian Ministry of European Integration, the largest donor is the European Union and Germany the largest bilateral donor.
This financial potential is very important for the economic and social development of Serbia, primarily in terms of social protection, employment and general improvement of the position of the most vulnerable social groups, said Marina Babovic, project manager of the program Inclusion of Roma and other marginalized groups in Serbia, Danas reports.
