Gorenje opens its factory in Zajecar

Gorenje Group’s new sanitary equipment production and washing machine assembly plant in Zajecar was opened today with a festive ceremony. The factory, employing 96 people, has been operating successfully since fall 2011. By the end of this year, 70,000 washing machines and 30,000 wash basins manufactured at this factory will hit the markets.
The Government of the Republic of Serbia supports Gorenje’s investment by a grant of EUR 10,000 per employee.
In Serbia, Gorenje is also operating a refrigerator-freezer plant in Valjevo, water heater factory in Stara Pazova, a sales company in Belgrade, and a network of proprietary showrooms. There are 1,100 employees in Gorenje’s Serbian operations.
