Vice President of Croatia’s top food producer and retailer Agrokor Ante Todoric announced on that the company plans to invest around EUR 100 million in Serbia during the coming year, and promised that none of around 7,000 workers Agrokor employs in Serbia will be dismissed.
When asked why Agrokor, which already invested EUR 450 million, decided to put in new money in Serbia, Todoric said that the company feels welcome and views Serbia as its natural environment.
Following the achievement of the EU candidate status, Serbia will establish additional macroeconomic stability and improve its business environment, Todoric said.
When it comes to prices of food in Serbia, Todoric said that at the moment they are 40 percent lower than in the EU, adding that the prices in Serbia are under control and very competitive.
