The Minister in the Government of Serbia and the President of the Intergovernmental Committee for Cooperation between Serbia and Russia Nenad Popovic announced that the largest economic forum of Serbia and Russia so far will be held in Belgrade on October 4 and 5, organized by the Government of Serbia, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Russian Export center.
Popovic said that the partners from the Russian Export Center announced that more than 100 companies from the Russian Federation would participate in this forum.
“These are the most powerful Russian companies in the field of infrastructure, energy, agri-food sector, chemical complex, trade, information technologies, and the largest Russian banks will be present,” Popovic said.
He pointed out that numerous agreements on cooperation between Serbian and Russian companies are expected to be signed.
“This forum is an opportunity for our companies to present their products and services that could find their place in the Russian market. At the same time, this is a chance for our state and economy to present their investment potential to the largest Russian state and private companies looking to increase their presence. I would like to thank the General Director of the Russian Export Center, Veronika Nikishina, for recognizing Serbia as a country with great prospects for the development of economic cooperation with Russia,” Popovic said.
He pointed out that the Russian Export Center has the opportunity to support Russian companies that want to do business and invest in the Republic of Serbia.
“Economic relations between Serbia and Russia are constantly growing and new perspectives are constantly opening for the development of relations between the two countries in all areas. What the Government of the Republic of Serbia will work on the most in the future is systematic support for Serbian companies to be more present in the Russian Federation,” said Popovic, RTS reports.
