The Chinese company Yanfeng has completed the construction of a new factory for the production of car seats in Kragujevac, and it is expected that production in the new plant will begin by the summer of 2022. The company also plans to create about 500 new jobs in the next few years, it was announced.
– With our new plant in Kragujevac, we are responding to market demand and expanding our product portfolio in Europe – said Chunfeng Xu, General Manager of Yanfeng Seating in Europe.
Yanfeng will produce seat parts for various customers in a production space of approximately 20,000 m2.
The new plant in the Sumadija district is the second location of Yanfeng in Serbia. Since 2019, Yanfeng has a plant for the production of internal components in Kragujevac, eKapija reports.
